My wife and I have lived in the village since 2018. I have been a member of the Parochial Church Council since 2020 and Secretary since 2021 and am also treasurer of Community Hall Trust .
I began my career in accounts and finance in the building industry in the early 70’s then went to London to work for a firm of Chartered Accountants. I then returned to Marlborough in 1983 to work for clients of the accountancy practice. This was a Corporate Communications Company in Swindon. That business ceased in 1992 and I then joined The Hale Veterinary Group as Practice Manager.
The Practice is based in a Veterinary Hospital in Chippenham with 3 branch surgeries in nearby towns an Equine Unit at Lackham College and a Farm Practice. The Practice employs around 70 people.
I was Practice Manager from 1992 to 2005, when I became a partner. The Practice was sold in 2018 and I retired in 2019.
